Do I need more than one estimate?

It is not normally necessary to obtain more than one estimate on your vehicle unless your insurance policy specifically states otherwise.

Normally for your convenience it may be best to select our facility to assist you with your insurance claim.  Our reputation and working relationship with the insurance industry can lessen the hassles and uncertainties involved with your claim.  We work with insurance claims on a daily basis can lets face it...you have more important things to worry about.

Why are the estimates I have so different in price?

Whether your estimates are from repair facilities or insurance companies, it is very difficult to compare them unless the damages are very minor.  There are many reasons why they at times seem very far apart.  Normally they are simply ont estimating all the same items and operations.

Not to say either are wrong, but someone may feel a hidden item is damaged because of past experience and write it on the estimate.  Someone else may only write what is visible at the present time before the vehicle is dismantled.  What really should be important to you is when the vehicle is completed it is safe and properly repaired...and did you know...the final bills will most often be very similar.

What is the difference between aftermarket and OEM parts?

Aftermarket parts are parts that have been produced by other manufacturers (not your original vehicle manufacturer) for your vehicle.  OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer.  Many insurers have specific policies regarding the use of aftermarket parts.  They usually are contingent upon year and mileage of your vehicle.

Keep in mind, the vehicle is your vehicle.  Our experience with aftermarket parts has been very extensive.  As with any product sold, there is some value or it would not be sold.  In many cases however the use of aftermarket parts may hinder us in providing an "On time" delivery...and this we take seriously.  If you have any other questions regarding this issue specifically for your vehicle, please email us.

How can I get my car fixed with the least amount of hassle?

We know just having the accident is enough hassle in itself...having to deal with the insurance companies, rental car company, other people involved in the accident, and the repair facility is not what you would like to be doing.  That is why you should go to someone you can trust and with a reputation to stand behind their workmanship.

Normally for your convenience, we suggest you select our facility to assist you with your insurance claim.  Our reputation and working relationship with the insurance industry can lessen the hassles and uncertainties involved with your claim.  We work with insurance claims on a daily basis.

We can arrange everything...the management of your claim, the car rental, and even towing.  We know we can't turn back the clock and eliminate the accident, but we can sure make the experience a little less stressful.

What are deductibles and betterments?

Every vehicle insurance policy has a stated co-insurance amount called a deductible.  This amount is your portion of responsibility for the total claim (plus betterments).  This amount varies based on each policy, but is set for the policy duration when you pay your premiums.

Keep in mind, your deductible amount may increase to lower or maintain your annual insurance premiums.  Carrying larger deductibles of $100 or above may lower your annual insurance premium slightly, but be a burden on your finances if you need to use the insurance.  You will normally be responsible to pay your deductible directly to the repair facility upon picking up your vehicle if you are using your insurance to handle the claim.

Betterment is the additional amount you insurance company has determined you  will be responsible for to pay to the repair facility when picking up your vehicle.  This is calculated for replacement of items with a relatively short "life expectancy" and you have used a portion of it.  It could also be calculated based on an item which prior condition was much lower than the new replacement condition.  Some examples of items which may include betterment are: tires, batteries, some mechanical parts, seats and interiors, panels that are rusted, and even paint.

This is determined during the estimating process...so ask about any additional costs to you other than your deductible.

What are the differences between repair facilities?

The introduction of Unibody vehicles in the 1980's really changed everything in regards to repairing your vehicle.  The equipment, knowledge, and materials all changed...and many did not and still have not updated.

When your vehicle is repaired today, it must be done to the very highest standards available so your value and safety will be maintained.  Anything short of this is unacceptable to us.

We pride ourselves in using the latest technology to repair your vehicles to the latest standards available.  We do this through continuous training and equipment updating.  Please make sure you are confident that the repair facilities you use are properly trained and have the technology to properly repair your vehicle.

Many facilities can make it look good on the outside...few can make sure it is good.

Stop by and let us show you the differences...we will be happy to provide you the differences.
